Mountain Rest Cabins and Campground is all about having a good time, unplug from the daily grind and enjoy some peace of mind!
We don’t have many rules, but we do have to post all of that legal stuff.

Rates, Cancellation, Changes, Payment

For your convenience, we do not charge a reservation or booking fee.
A non-refundable per-payment is required for all reservations. For nightly, weekly, holidays and special event there is a minimum of $50% deposit is required at the time of making your reservation. A minimum stay of three (3) night’s rent for Holidays weekends (Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July weekend, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  Extended stays and monthly reservations require a 50% deposit and a re-fundable security deposit of $350.00 The remaining balance of 50% is due at check in.
Security deposits will be returned 2 to 4 weeks after an inspection of the property has been made, for extended stays and monthly rentals, including the verification of the electric bill. Any usage exceeding the amount of $125. will be taken from the security deposit, as well as any damages to the property or its contents. Special Rates may apply for Duke Power outage workers, temporary area workers and off -season stays( discuss at time of the reservation).
Rates are seasonally adjusted . Rates do not include a one-time cleaning fee and 10% tax .
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, checks and Cash.


If it is necessary to cancel your reservation, cancellation is your option; but no refund for per-payments will be issued.
If cancellation is made with an advance notice of at least thirty (30) days prior to arrival, a credit for the per-payment will be applied to your next
stay and is to be used within six (6) months following the cancellation date. If you cancel in less than 30 days all per-payments will be held for lost
A “No-Show” is considered to be a renter that does not show up by 6:00 am the day following check-in / arrival date, and does not call the office to notify our campground hosts of late arrival plans. In the event of a No-Show, your cabin or site will not be held past the first-night stay.
Any changes in the dates of a reservation will be based on availability and cannot be guaranteed . We accept reservations up to (12) months in advance.
The maximum number of people allowed on an RV or TENT site is (4) people. All site rent payments are due in advance upon check-in.
In the event of after-hours check-in, payment is due by 10:00 am the following day.
Camping is an outdoor experience, so no refunds will be given for acts of Mother Nature. Management is not responsible for: Personal injury as a result of personal negligence, Acts of Nature: Forest Fires, Wind, Ice, Snow, Hail, Hurricane, Tornado, Flood, etc. or that may cause icy roads, slippery ramps, or walk ways, fallen trees and or branches. In the event of a mandatory evacuation, per-payment deposits will be credited toward your next stay and is to be used within six (6) months following the cancellation date. You agree to be financially responsible for any and all damage you, your guests, your coach, your vehicle, your trailer, etc. cause to all areas of the campground, cabins, your RV site and to other guest’s property. All damages will be charged to your credit card with a bill for repairs and/or replacement mailed to the address provided by you upon registration.

Check-In, Guests

All guests must check-in at the office upon arrival for the key and area maps.
If you are going to arrive after 6 PM please let the office manager know, and a envelope with your key will be left at the front door. Also, the names
of all guests of registered occupants must be given at the time of check in.
You are responsible for your guests. SMOKING IS NOT permitted in our cabins.
An additional sanitation fee of $30 will be charged if the cabin smells of cigarettes.
Check-in is 3:00 pm. Check-out is 11:00 am.
A Late check-out may be available for a minimal additional fee. You are responsible for keeping your camp site and fire circle free of garbage
and cigarette butts!
There are trash cans at the bath house for your convenience.
Management is not responsible for:Lost, Stolen, or Left Items.
Our campground staff are on call, and available 24 hours a day.

If any problems arise with our appliances or any other matters that directly effect the proper functions of your cabin
please notify us, so we may resolve the problem as qucikly as possible.
Holding complaints to the end of your stay does not warrant a rate discount or free night stays.
Management is not responsible for nor condones ANY illegal actions taken by any guest or their party. We reserve the right to enter the property
or ask any person to vacate the property if found in fault of breaking any written or moral rule.

Child Supervision

All children must be under adult supervision at all times. Your family’s safety is our number one concern!

Pet Policy

We love animals and strive to make this facility a pet friendly place, however, it is important that your pets are well-behaved. We ask you to
respect our pet policy.
Pets are welcome with a non-refundable fee of $35. for your first pet and $25. for the second pet.
Many of our guest have allergies, so we cannot have dog or cat hair in the cabins.
Customers will be charged an hourly rate of $15. to remove pet hair from bedding, rugs, linens and furniture.
If your Pet sheds, we suggest you remove all our bedding and rugs during your Pets stay in our cabins.
You may bring your own bedding, linens, towels, and rugs to deter this from happening.
By bringing your Pet, you are authorizing us to charge accordingly, your card on file. For excessive hair removal.
Pets need to be under your supervision at all times, have up to date vaccinations, and flea & tick medication.
Voice or leash control is acceptable, but if your dog shows aggressive behavior, your dog will be asked to leave.
Thank you for helping us keep our cabins free of hair, our grounds safe and clean.
Don’t forget to bring the plastic bag!
Last, if you do not let us know your pet is staying with us, your card will be charge $75.

WI-FI Internet Service

Mountain Rest Cabins offers complimentary internet service, however it does not take any responsibility for any damage, viruses, or electrical
issues that may occur while staying at our campground.

Confirmation & Acknowledgment of Agreement

All guests / renters / occupants must agree to all the terms and conditions and all above Policies & Procedures and Rules & Guidelines. Your
payment certifies that you have read all Policies & Procedures and Rules & Guidelines, that you understand and agree to abide by all, that you
will maintain the property in as good a condition as you find it, and that you agree to all financial responsibility for any and all loss or damage.
The legal renter named on the reservation must occupy property during dates listed and be fully responsible for the same.
